FAQ

Where can I save music from?

You can save tracks from YouTube and SoundCloud, plus custom links from other sources around the web. Supported YouTube and SoundCloud tracks can play directly inside My D&D Music; custom links still give you one organized place to keep music you want to remember for your games.

Do I need to upload any music or audio files?

No. My D&D Music organizes links to music hosted elsewhere rather than asking you to upload the audio itself. Paste a supported link, add it to your library, and My D&D Music keeps the track information and your organization around it.

Where does the music play?

Supported YouTube and SoundCloud tracks play in your browser through My D&D Music. A persistent player stays available while you browse your library, so you can keep looking for the next track without stopping the music that's already setting the scene.

Is My D&D Music free?

Yes. My D&D Music is completely free to use. It's a passion project built for my own table and shared with other DMs and game masters. If you find it useful and want to help keep the lights on, there's an optional Ko-fi link to support the project.

Who can see my music library?

Your library is private to your account. Other My D&D Music users can't browse your tracks, tags, notes, or ratings. You can also export your library whenever you want a copy of your collection.

Can I back up or move my music library?

Yes. You can export your library and import it again later. CSV is useful for viewing or editing your collection like a spreadsheet, while JSON preserves more of the library structure for a fuller backup.

Is My D&D Music only for Dungeons & Dragons?

No. It was built by a DM for D&D, but the library works for Pathfinder and other tabletop RPGs too. If you use background music, ambience, battle music, or character themes while running a TTRPG, you can organize them here.
